Fountains of Almeda
Michael Stevens Interests has announced the name of its latest development

Michael Stevens Interests purchased 10.4 acres of land at 9000 Almeda Rd. in
the Texas Medical Center and is developing a yet unnamed 252-unit complex on
the land. Construction on the complex is underway, with completion
slated for Summer 2008.

. Michael Stevens Interests, inc. (MSI) is pleased to announce the
development of a class-A apartment community in the Champions/1960 submarket
of Houston. Phase I of a potential multi-phase project will consist of 324
luxury apartment units and will be located near the intersection of Highway
249 and Cypresswood drive.
Phase I
will start
construction in the summer of 2007 with the first units to be delivered in
the beginning of 2008. Phase I
will comprise 17.7 acres and contain 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with high
end community amenities, including picnic areas, a large screen theater
room, fitness and business center, golf simulator and multiple swimming
areas.
Architectural
services are being provided by the Clerkley Watkins Group, and engineering
services are being performed by Carter & Burgess and Dannenbaum Engineering.
Michael Stevens Construction LLC will serve as general contractor.
Construction
financing is being provided by Franklin Bank.
MSI is a
privately owned Houston based company which owns and operates over 5,000
apartments in Texas and is developing $1 Billion of apartments over the next
10 years to expand its existing portfolio. MSI currently owns and manages
more than 26 properties representing over four million square feet of living
area.
